Royal Portrait

I've chosen This image of the duke and duches of Cambridge prince William, Kate

Middleton and their child prince George on his christening. The artical is labeled  '' A portrait of a modern monarchy'' and was taken on the 24th of October 2013. The first thing I noticed from this Image is Prince George as Kate and William are posed very elegantly and George being a baby is full of energy and they look like happy family. 

The outfits are the second thing I noticed as it shows a united front with Kate and George wearing the same colours and wearing a suit that blends with the team, Also George's outfit is very traditional which gives of the feel of royalty. 

Throughout the Image there's indicators of wealth the background is simplistic, very bright but gives off the image of wealth with the gold on the settee. 

The image is obviously a posed family portrait which gives the vibe of them being a very in love couple with their very happy child. The composition of the photo is straight forward with very little shadow which does give off a happier appearance. 

I feel that this photograph gives off the impression of a united, loving family which I feel that the photographer has successfully portrayed without making the image relatable to the public by portraying a typical family portrait.
